• As a State Legislator, Bradford served on the Insurance Committee and consistently supported and authored legislation to make California's insurance market fairer and more equitable. As a member of the Gardena City Council, Bradford fought against insurance companies that left the city bankrupt and passed reforms to balance the city’s budget.

• As Insurance Commissioner, Bradford will fix the FAIR plan, ensure that insurers pay disaster survivors immediately, and bring insurance companies to the table to stop them from leaving California.

• He’ll also ban insurance companies that operate in California from working with ICE or its contractors.

• As a State Senator, Bradford authored a pioneering law to return Bruce’s Beach in Manhattan Beach to living descendants of the owners whose land was stolen because of their race. 

• In California, the insurance industry has used race to discriminate against consumers, and Bradford is committed to fighting for marginalized communities through insurance reforms grounded in equity and inclusion.

• As Insurance Commissioner, Bradford will bring transparency to insurance pricing and push for public explanations by insurance companies anytime they raise rates.
